Pskov Newsline: Eco-monitoring matters have been discussed by Viktor Ostrenko with “Titan-Polymer” executive staff

July 21, Viktor Ostrenko, the head of the Executive Committee of the Regional Branch of the All-Russian Popular Front visited the construction site of Pskov plant “Titan-Polymer”. General Director of the enterprise German Petrushko arranged a tour around the territory of the future BOPET-films production building as the company press service informed Pskov Newsline. The head of the enterprise presented technological zones layout to the guest and talked about the production process in detail.

Today the construction of the plant for BOPET films production is well underway: constructors are finishing the construction of the main production building and are preparing for the installation of core process equipment.

One of the discussion subjects during the visit was the topic of environmental monitoring at BOPET films production. German Petrushko noted that supervisory bodies would control the industrial and environmental safety at production site. In addition, the enterprise will monitor environmental safety internally.

The Pskov branch representative of the All-Russian Popular Front particularly drew attention to availability of the environmental monitoring results.

“We would like the monitoring results could be available not only to enterprise specialists but to the persons interested in this situation as well,” Viktor Ostrenko emphasized. He pointed out the importance of public participation in observation over the future enterprise construction and assured that the established cooperation of the All-Russian Popular Front and the plant’s executive staff would be kept and beyond, including the stage of commissioning of the facility and production itself.

Viktor Ostrenko took a favorable view of willingness of the directorate of the enterprise under construction for dialogue with the public. In his opinion myths built around new construction projects are being destroyed when the company contacts with the population.

“Taken by the management of “Titan-Polymer” steps over the past period, including access to the construction site today, indicate that the enterprise is ready for it. And we can only appreciate it, because any production next to the city where people live should be within the public eyeshot. Just this way it happens,”  the head of the Executive Committee of the Regional Branch of the All-Russian Popular Front Viktor Ostrenko expressed his opinion on the results of the visit to the construction site of the plant.
