Pskov Newsline: A delegation from the Russian-Chinese Business Council visited “Pskovsky Zavod “Titan-Polymer” LLC

A delegation from the Russian-Chinese Business Council (RCBC) made a working visit to the Titan-Polymer plant located in Moglino Special Economic Zone in Pskov Region. This was reported to Pskov Newsline by the plant's press service. 

As part of the business trip, members of the RCBC delegation, together with representatives of the Pskov region government, got acquainted with modern technologies for the import-substituting product manufacturing - BOPET film production. The plant's polymer products are in demand in the pharmaceutical industry, in manufacturing healthcare products and food packaging, as well as in other spheres.

The delegation members had an opportunity to see the complete cycle of BOPET film production: from feedstock loading to finished product dispatch to the warehouse. The participants also learnt about a wide range of the plant's products.

"At present, the company has launched the homologation process for domestically produced PET pellets - we are testing the quality characteristics of Russian feedstock. It is an important step for the production of high-quality BOPET film," Kirill Neretin, General Director of "Titan-Polymer" LLC, noted.

The meeting resulted in agreements on possible co-operation with Chinese partners.

The RCBC was established to promote and support bilateral economic projects and to assist in development of co-operation between Russian and Chinese business communities. The organisation unites major Russian enterprises and associations of entrepreneurs engaged in business with China.

The Group of companies Titan is one of the largest industrial holdings in Russia, engaged in the production of petrochemical products for strategically important sectors of the country's economy, as well as the production and processing of agricultural products.

The Group of companies is creating industrial clusters and infrastructure in the regions of presence, developing the country's petrochemical complex and is a leader in the production of a number of petrochemical products. It unites more than 15 petrochemical and agro-industrial enterprises.

"Titan-Polymer" LLC is a multifunctional industrial complex for the production of import-substituting products - BOPET films and polyethylene terephthalate (PET). They are used for the production of various types of industrial packaging, in radio and microelectronics, pharmaceuticals. The plant is one of the main residents of Moglino Special Economic Zone (Pskov Region). The first stage of the investment project to create import-substituting production of BOPET film was launched in 2022.
