Pskov News: Employees of Titan-Polymer took part in a volunteer litter pick event

Employees of Titian-Polymer took part in a volunteer litter pick event in Pskov on October 27.

The plant’s employees cleaned up the green area between the parking lot of “Lenta” supermarket, kindergarten No. 5, and building 11a on Zvezdnaya str. During the event a few local residents voluntarily joined the team.

The clean-up was part of the big litter pick event held by the Municipal Service Department of Pskov. Large enterprises and organizations were involved in the clean-up of public territories.  

The place for the litter pick was chosen upon recommendation by the Municipal Service Department of Pskov government taking into account the social importance of the territory. The green area is used for walking and is connected to a playground. In winter local residents bring their children here to slide.

“This territory is often used by the residents. There is a bus stop, kindergartens, schools, and shops within the territory. It is very important to keep it clean. Since Titan-Polymer has an environmental concept, we want our city to be clean. Today’s snowfall “wanted” to scare us, but nothing can stop us from cleaning the city,” Director for Communications of Titan-Polymer Sergey Novokhatka said.  

Titan-Polymer’s participation in environmental events in Pskov has been a good tradition. For example, in May 2021 employees of the company planted chestnuts, birches, lilacs and thuys in the square next to highway viaduct. The company has also become a sponsor of the beautification and cleaning contest “Clean Pskov”.
