ChemAgregaty magazine: Sutyaginsky: BOPET film consumers will assist in producing high quality films

On April 19, at Titan-Polymer plant representatives of development finance institutions, commercial banks and regional authorities discussed the results of film production during the first quarter of 2023.

The meeting of the guests began with a guided tour by Kirill Neretin, General Director of Titan-Polymer. The attendees were able to look at the range of manufactured products, to see the whole technological process - from raw material loading to shipment of the finished product to the warehouse. Also, the participants of the meeting were shown the work of the factory laboratory and the film metallization process.

Mikhail Sutyaginsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AO GC Titan, noted that at the moment the process of homologation was underway - getting feedback from consumers, which would help to improve the final product and improve its technical characteristics.

“It is important for us to get feedback from our consumers, who should give their comments after receiving the products. As a customer-oriented company we will definitely consider these comments and we will be able to give the consumer the highest quality product," Mikhail Sutyaginsky emphasized. "We built a wonderful complex with more than 200 Pskov organizations involved in its creation. I would like to say a special word of thanks to all the development institutions that financed the project: "Gazprombank" JSC, the Industrial Development Fund, the Russian Export Center, the insurance agency "EXIAR". We were believed in and supported, and the result was the production of an important and necessary product for many sectors of the economy, which is used in electrical engineering, the food industry, and medicine."

Ninel Salagaeva, Deputy Governor of the Pskov region, noted that Titan-Polymer, the anchor resident of the special economic zone "Moglino", played one of the most important roles in the social and economic development of the Pskov region: "The project has a large amount of investment, and a lot of highly qualified jobs. And the amount of tax deductions that are expected in the budget cycle of the next three years is incommensurable with anything. The products are manufactured in accordance with the norms and standards that were originally announced. Today we walked through production and saw for ourselves how environmentally friendly and safe it is".

Alexander Garankin, First Vice President of "Gazprombank" JSC, noted that this project was significant not only for AO GC Titan and Gazprombank, but for the country's industry as a whole: "The project was implemented under very difficult conditions of restrictions and challenges, but a team of professional managers coped with all the difficulties and launched the production. On our part, we demonstrated flexible approach so that the implementation of the project was not in great doubt. This is the production that the country needs in the current conditions. It makes it possible to take a big step both in the import-substitution area and in the development of other types of domestic production. This is not our first joint project with AO GC Titan. We hope our further cooperation will also be productive," Alexander Garankin said.

Titan-Polymer plant is ready to reach its design capacity of up to 72 thousand tons of products per year, which will allow to fully cover all imports.

At the moment the second stage of the project is being worked on. It is planned to put into operation a complex for production of PET pellets that will become the initial raw material for the products demanded in the market.
