Ultra-tough and high-temperature composites with better properties will be produced at GC Titan. The company has started the construction of an import substitution composite material production facility in Omsk. According to Governor Vitaly Khotsenko, the project implementation will create about 1200 jobs and significantly increase tax revenues to the regional budget.
“Russian President sets tasks for industrialists on import substitution and strengthening the country's technological sovereignty. GC Titan with its partners, VEB.RF, the governments of the Russian Federation and the Omsk region plans to implement a large-scale project. As a result, 1000 - 1200 new jobs are planned to be created, and the implementation of the investment project will provide significant tax revenues to the budget,” he said.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of GC Titan Mikhail Sutyaginsky said that ultra-tough and high-temperature composites with better properties would be produced.
“Today we can see that the automotive industry is growing, as well as our own aircraft and shipbuilding are recovering. That is why we are going to produce the plastics that the current times require,” he said.
“If we want to achieve technological sovereignty, deep processing is a top priority for us. The total volume of gas and petrochemical projects with our participation exceeds RUB 10 trillion, and VEB.RF finances about RUB 2 trillion of them. These are huge volumes, large-scale projects,” First Deputy Chairman of VEB.RF Nikolay Tsekhomsky said.
According to GC Titan’s press service, the project involves the construction of a complex for the production and processing of olefins. This facility will process hydrocarbon raw materials into ethylene, propylene, butylene-divinyl fraction, pyrocondensate and their refined products (butadiene, benzene, ethylene glycols, polyethylene, propylene oxide, propylene glycols, polyether polyols, polypropylene). Sutyaginsky pointed out that the new complex will provide the Omsk site of GC Titan with its own raw materials. It will allow the company to meet its needs and almost double the capacity of AO “Omsky kauchuk” plant.
“We also plan to attract at least 40 residents to our “Avangard” SEZ because raw materials will be supplied by us,” he emphasized.
