Domestic enterprises have responded to the call of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and are ready to increase the capacity for medical oxygen production. For example, the Group of companies Titan is working over an issue of possibility to supply oxygen for medical purposes in the regions of Russia. In this regard, the nitrogen-oxygen station of “Omsky kauchuk” plant, included in the GC Titan, is ready for immediate capacities reprofiling for medical oxygen production.
Today the nitrogen-oxygen station includes four units capable of producing up to 100 tons of oxygen per month in total, we can provide this oxygen for medical purposes.
To implement this initiative as soon as possible the GC Titan is creating a project group in Omsk attracting partners in the field of logistics, scientific-technical testing, transportation, as well as enterprises with low production volume.
“The pandemic conditions have shown how it is important for business to respond promptly to society requests regarding necessary medication, without which it is impossible to stop the spread of infection,” Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AO GC Titan Mikhail Sutyaginsky considers. “We responded to the call for support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and actively got involved in the work on production realignment to meet the needs of the regions. This year in spring, we acted in the same manner, as the pandemic had rolled around, it took a couple of months for Novocherkassk Lubricant Production Plant to reorient the facilities for the production of antiseptics.”
We would like to remind that earlier Denis Manturov, Minister of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation noted that all the best efforts to eliminate the situation with oxygen deficit had been done by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The survey of all constituent entities of the Russian Federation resulted the increased medical oxygen requirements in 22 regions. The minister specified that “any arising requirement concerning raw materials, prompt licensing or assistance in entering the market is being solved as soon as possible with direct contact of our staff members and enterprises - and we have already got such examples.”
