The environmental project of “Pskovsky Zavod “Titan-Polymer” LLC, Pskov enterprise of the Group of Companies Titan, was presented at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum among the country's best social practices.

Alina Rybina, Deputy General Director for Corporate Communications of the AO GC Titan, spoke about the Eco-Saturday project. 

The first stage of the project is to develop environmentally friendly thinking. The educational program is aimed at children and adults, including employees of the GC Titan companies. “We have everything needed for this stage. We are ready to share everything we have come up with. We know that others have good educational programs, we can implement them in our project,” Alina Rybina said.

The second stage is the formation of ecological spaces. "These are so-called cities of future, as we see them today, when we do not embed pieces of nature into our living space, but interact and create opportunities for comfortable life in the natural landscape. There are such solutions, we collect them all over the country," Alina Rybina specified. Such project, in particular, is working in Samara

To expand the Eco-Saturday project across the country, administrative support and, first and foremost, changes in legislation are needed. So far, ecology has not been integrated into the improvement and utility standards, but the situation needs to be changed, Alina Rybina is sure. “It is global and ambitious, but who else but us?” Alina Rybina stressed.

The third stage of the project is infrastructure establishing and maintaining. “This cannot be put on the state's budgetary shoulders alone; eco-entrepreneurship should be developed. This is not about making money, but about ensuring that our children and grandchildren have a place to live. We need good practices, entrepreneurial initiative, and cooperation with the business community,” Alina Rybina added. “Eco-Saturday is already working with Delovaya Rossiya”.

The project team created an eco-box - a set of useful, durable household items to replace disposable items. “The more corporations provide such sets to employees and partners as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programs, the more people will adhere to the eco-saving principle,” Alina Rybina said.

The Pskov project aroused interest of the forum audience. In particular, Sofia Malyavina, Director General of ANO National Priorities, invited the Eco-Saturday representatives to the large Eco-system Forum in the Kamchatka Region. The plan is to organize a large pavilion on the National Ecology Project, where the project experts will be partners of the educational program.

Artem Metelev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy and Chairman of the Council of the Association of Volunteer Centres, offered support to the Eco-Saturday project in cooperation with business associations. He also encouraged the establishment of a working group of federal eco-projects' representatives.
