OmskInform: Omsk basketball team changed its sponsor and name

GC Titan became a general partner of the basketball team Neftyanik-Titan. The team also changed its colors.

The team presented its new colors at a press breakfast. Among the speakers were First Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, Physical Education and Sport of the Omsk region Ivan Kolesnik, director of the Team Sports Center Roman Gusev, Neftyanik’s captain Darya Levchenko, and Acting General Director of GC Titan, Deputy General Director for Raw Materials Supply Oleg Grabar.

At the press breakfast, the speakers shared news about personnel changes in the adult league lineup, future games and participation in preseason tournaments. The big news was the name change for the new 2023/2024 season of the main team Neftyanik to Neftyanik-Titan.

"Titan will become the title sponsor of the basketball team. We are strengthening our team's name. The team will now be called Neftyanik-Titan. We are adding the strength of the sponsor’s name. We will claim the highest places in the main league of the country," Ivan Kolesnik said.

In addition to the new name, the team presented its colors in the style of the general sponsor – GC Titan. The main colors will now be blue, white and green.

Oleg Grabar, Acting General Director of Titan Group of Companies, Deputy General Director for Raw Materials Supply:

"We cheer for the team and wish it new victories. Titan Group not only creates industrial infrastructure and develops the petrochemical complex, as a socially responsible company we support projects aimed at the development of sports, culture, art and social sphere".

The name of the youth team was also changed. The team trains on the basis of Omsk State Polytechnic University and will be called Titan-Politech. The new sponsor of the oldest sports basketball club in the Omsk region was thanked for its contribution to the sports future of the region.
