Ministry of Industry of the Omsk Region: the equipment for the production of isopropyl alcohol was received at the Group of Companies “Titan”

The column intended for the isopropanol rectification (purification) unit and internal contact devices arrived to a site of “Omsky kauchuk” plant which is included into the Group of Companies “Titan” within the framework of the cumene production facility reconstruction project and the organization of the isopropyl alcohol production.

The isopropyl crude alcohol will be purified from the impurities in the column in order to produce a commercial product. The supplier of the column and its contact devices including the media separation in the petrochemical industry is the company Sulzer which is the large foreign manufacturer of the equipment to the industry.

This is the largest piece of equipment purchased by the enterprise within the project framework. Its length is 38 meters and 55 high-performance single-line valve devices of tray type are located in the interior space with the diameter of 1.2 meters.

Two cranes with the lifting capacity of 80 and 110 tons, respectively, were involved in the unloading of the equipment. The column weight with the installed devices is as much as 30 tons. At present the foundation is being prepared for the subsequent unit installation.

Besides, the construction of process unit and operator room is in progress at the cumene production site of the “Omsky kauchuk” plant. The personnel of the plant contractors and repair services are in the process of laying the feedstock and industrial gas pipelines, as well as the installation of racks. Four pipelines with the total length of over 4500 meters have already been laid.
