Ministry of Industry of Omsk region: AO “Omsky kauchuk” produced the 2 millionth ton of phenol

Today the largest enterprise of the GC Titan has produced the 2-millionth ton of phenol. AO "Omsky kauchuk" provides the fifth part of domestic production of this product.

Upgraded production of phenol and acetone was launched at AO "Omsky kauchuk" in 2020. This made it possible to produce a high-quality commercial product at a new technological level using the best available technologies. To implement the project AO GC Titan purchased more than 300 units of main and auxiliary process equipment - columns, heat exchangers, tanks and pumps. The renewed capacities enabled to increase the output of marketable products.

 "Phenol produced by AO "Omsky kauchuk" is distinguished by high quality. This product is in demand among domestic processors. Today the share of our phenol in Russian consumption is almost 25%," explained the company.

Phenol and acetone production was launched in Omsk in April 1968. This year the company's phenol and acetone shop celebrated a jubilee - 55 years from the date of the first commercial products.
