Ministry of Industry of Omsk region: a platform for the development of the Russian low- and medium-tonnage chemistry was created in the Russian Union of Chemists

Mikhail Sutyaginsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of GC Titan and Vice-President of the Russian Union of Chemists, headed the Special Commission of the Russian Union of Chemists on LMTC (low- and medium-tonnage chemistry).

The new commission is a permanent working body of the Russian Union of Chemists. The list of its members has already been formed, new members are being accepted and the work plan for the near future is being prepared.

The structure was created to prepare the proposals and work out the consolidated position of the Russian Chemists' Union on the development of LMTC domestic production base as well as increasing the efficiency of the Russian chemical industry as a whole. Decisions made here will be used in the work of the Russian Union of Chemists and the industry enterprises and can be taken by public authorities as the basis for the development of laws and regulations.

The functions of the LMTC Commission include elaboration of coordinated position of the Russian business community regarding the topical issues of this sector in Russia, preparation of proposals for changes in the legislation, monitoring and analysis of the current state, problems and trends in production and consumption of LMTC and perspective proposals for the development of low-tonnage chemistry.

As Mikhail Sutyaginsky noted, the Commission should become an effective discussion platform for the professional and expert community. It will be able to build a constructive dialogue between entrepreneurs, educational, scientific, financial, investment and other interested communities of our country, as well as specialized organizations of the Eurasian Economic Union and international organizations.
