Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation: “Omsky kauchuk” has completely switched to import-substituting components for water unit

“Omsky kauchuk” plant (a part of the Group of companies Titan) continues to implement the import substitution program.

Recycled (process) water, reusable in process operations when cooling products in heat exchangers, possesses strict requirements as per microbiological indicators, content of suspended particles, salts and hydrogen index (pH). In order to maximize its quality, the specialists of “Omsky kauchuk” plant previously used foreign-made components. After the imposition of sanctions, the situation with supplies became difficult. At present, the enterprise purchases required components by a domestic manufacturer to comply with all standards and efficient operation of the water unit.

“For the selection of components, dosage and drawing up a treatment diagram, the specialists of “Omsky kauchuk” repeatedly conducted a study of recycled water supplied in order to remove excess heat from heat exchange equipment. When the experimental-industrial tests were successful, we decided to completely switch to the product of a Russian manufacturer. This is one more important step in the implementation of the import substitution program at “Omsky kauchuk” plant,” the company’s specialists explained.

The integrated treatment of recycled water involves the use of non-oxidizing biocides to combat biological deposits, corrosion inhibitors and hardness deposits, as well as two types of dispersants (substances preventing the sediment deposition). All substances possess safety data sheets, are approved for the application in circulating systems, and they are successfully used at the largest enterprises of the petrochemical industry.
