Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia: Employees of AO “Omsky kauchuk” were awarded in honor of the company's birthday

A solemn award ceremony was held for the plant’s employees in honor of the plant’s anniversary. Today the plant is celebrating 61 years since the first production of synthetic rubber. The employees received regional and company awards.

Today the plant is one of the leaders of Russia’s petrochemical industry. The plant produces SBR, phenol, acetone, IPB, MTBE, and AMS. In 2021 a new production of a strategic product for the country – IPA – was launched.  The plant’s products are in high demand in both domestic and foreign markets.

 “Omsky kauchuk plant is one of the growth points of the region’s economy. In recent years advanced technologies have been introduced, large-scale projects for reconstruction and modernization of the production facilities have been completed, and new products have been lunched. At the production site of AO “Omsky kauchuk” we start new initiatives which will significantly strengthen the domestic petrochemical industry and the country’s technological sovereignty,” Chairman of the Board of Directors Mikhail Sutyaginsky said. 

 “Today the plant is a flagship of GC Titan and a leader among Russian producers of synthetic rubber. In recent years the plant has shown good results: new and modern capacities have been put into operation, product output volume is increasing. It all gives domestic industries the opportunity to become less dependent on import feedstock. This breakthrough in the plant’s development was made possible thanks to teamwork. A pool of qualified specialists, advanced technologies, and a strong feedstock base for other industrial sites of the Group has been formed here for decades.  I’m confident that the plant’s competitive advantages will allow us not only to meet the domestic market's demand for high-quality products, but to take stronger positions in global markets. On behalf of the Group of companies I would like to thank the plant’s team for its professionalism, diligence and respect for traditions,” General Director of GC Titan Olga Tarasenko said.

 “Our company is the country's leader in the production of methyl tert-butyl ether, and also ranks second in the production of synthetic rubbers. Over 61 years of painstaking work, the company's three-thousand-member team has accumulated enormous experience, established trouble-free production of globally demanded petrochemical products and is successfully mastering new technological processes,” General Director of AO “Omsky kauchuk” said.

During the celebration the employees’ professionalism was recognized and they were awarded medals from the Ministry of Energy of Russia, letters of gratitude from the Governor of the region, the city’s administration, the regional Ministry of Industry and Scientific and Technical Development.
