“Izvestiya”: AO “Omsky kauchuk” will begin to produce the more environmentally friendly octane additive

AO GC Titan is going to abandon the production of the methyl tert-butyl ether at the AO “Omsky kauchuk” plant by 2025. Instead of it, the plant is going to produce the more environmentally ethyl tert-butyl. Farkhad Samedov, the General Director of AO GC Titan told about it.

In accordance with his words, quoted by the "Neft i Kapital", it is other level of the ecological standard in the gasoline production. The methyl tert-butyl ether will be used as an octane additive.

Construction of the new production should be completed by 2025. About 20-30 billion rubles of capital investments will be allocated for these purposes.
