Gubernator.omskportal.ru: Large companies are ready to invest billions in the development of production in Omsk region

At a press conference today the Governor Alexander Burkov announced promising investment projects that are going to be implemented in the region in the nearest future.

These projects are important in terms of replenishing the tax base and creating new jobs. The head of the region pointed out the activities of Petrochemical Industrial Cluster in Omsk region — enterprises of the Group of Companies “Titan” and “Poliom” plant — which are among the largest regional taxpayers.

“Poliom” has yielded very good results in terms of tax base replenishment and the manufacture of up-to-date high-tech products," emphasized the Governor. Alexander Burkov noted that the Group of Companies “Titan” is currently working on a project for the technical re-equipment of phenol-acetone production line at “Omsky kauchuk” plant. He also said that at the Russian Investment Forum he had held discourse with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov who supported the implementation of this project. "I am sure that we will bring it to fruition. As of today, the cost of this project is estimated at 8 to 9 billion rubles," said the head of the region.

Governor called it significant for the region to create a high-tech catalyst production line for key oil refining processes. A corresponding investment contract was signed between Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Alexander Burkov, Governor of Omsk region and Alexander Chembulayev, General Director of Gazpromneft-Catalytic Systems . Moreover, Gazprom Neft is hammering away at the construction of a new line for primary oil refining, and a needle coke production project.

The investment project of Sodruzhestvo company, which plans to invest its funds in the construction of a logistics center in Omsk region for the collection and storage of grain and oilseed crops, was named among the most promising projects. Also, a timber processing center in Tara District is planned to be built jointly with Irkutsk company. This project, according to the head of the region, is important for the north part of Omsk region.
