In June, one of RB-2 reactor sections was repaired at the production of high-octane additives and liquefied hydrocarbon gases.

The reactor section of the AO “Omsky kauchuk” plant (part of the AO GC Titan) is involved in isobutane dehydrogenation in the ebullated bed of the catalyst. The contact gas produced as a result of dehydrogenation goes to D-3 section. It is purified there from light and heavy hydrocarbons and afterwards the gas is used in production of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE).

RB-2 preventative and predictive maintenance was carried out 24 hours a day and lasted for 28 days. Employees of Omsk contractors were involved in renovation. The main task was to replace the internal components.

In addition, the waste heat boiler was replaced in the shop during reconstruction, the vessel equipment in the flue gas sanitary treatment section was cleaned, thus improving the operation of the pumping equipment.

Scheduled repair and maintenance of equipment is a guarantee of stable enterprise functioning during the year. The unit has already taken feedstock supply and started operating.
