All-Russia Public Organization “Delovaya Rossiya”: The foresight meeting connected with the law- and medium-tonnage chemistry development took place at “Delovaya Rossiya”

The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

On January 28 the foresight meeting connected with the law- and medium-tonnage chemistry development issues was held by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation at the chemical industry committee platform of the “Delovaya Rossiya”.

The participation in the foresight-meeting was held in a mixed format and the general number of the participants was about 100 people. The representatives of such industry enterprises as AO GC Titan, URALCHEM Holding P.L.C., PJSC SIBUR Holding, JSC Transneft-Syntes, AO EFKO, HOMA Group LLC, Metadynea LLC, PJSC “Pigment, JSC "Altayskiy Himprom"; industrial associations as NP “ROSHIMREAKTIV”, Russian Union of Manufacturers of Chemical Plant Protection Products and such universities as Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, NRC “Kurchatov Institute” and other industries took part in the meeting.

The meeting was moderated by the director of the Department of Chemical and Technological Complex and Bioengineering Technologies of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russian Federation Alexander Orlov, who reminded that the actuality of the fields development was noted during the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the Heads of the largest Russian petrochemical companies on the December 1^st 2020. The result of the meeting was a list of orders in accordance with which the Russian Federation Government should assume measures for the law- and medium-tonnage chemistry development in Russia up to May of this year and approve the list of the “pulling projects”, which affect synergistic industries.

In his opening speech he noted the necessity to create the conceptual approach to the implementation of orders of the president of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in the law- and medium-tonnage chemistry field. “In 2017 the “roadmap”for the law-tonnage chemistry development up to 2030, which defines the concepts of law- and medium- and large-tonnage chemistry on the law level, and also it defines 9 key directions for the field development. Today we understand that we should talk about the determinate products, substances and look at the industry development from this point of view”Alexander Orlov noted.

The foresight meeting participants discussed the modern situation on the law- and medium-tonnage chemistry market, the key trends of the field development, the development limitations and barriers, the offers to correct the active government support measures and inclusion of projects in the priority list.

The discussion resulted in proposals from the industry representatives to decide the current issues, which inhibit the chemical industry development in Russia and agreed to continue the formation of proposals to support the law- and medium-tonnage chemistry.

The Head of the Committee of Chemical Industry of “Delovaya Rossiya”and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AO GC Titan Mikhail Sutyaginsky thanked the representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation for the possibility of the open dialogue between the production companies and the government. He invited the participants of the meeting on the Committee platform the platform of the Committee for the Chemical Industry for the purpose of discussing and forming a consolidated position on the support of the industry on the part of the business.
