Eco-warrior and bloggers visited units together with engineers and government officials.
The largest part of them came purposely from other cities. Social activists were told about the large scale modernization program. About 10 billion ruble were allocated for it implementation. Also technical ponds were demonstrated. People call them “colour ponds”, because of industrial wastes taken there until 2012. AO “Omsky kauchuk”facilities are very impressive. They produce 2 thousand tons of production very 24 hour. Soon the result will be better because of the large scale modernization at the enterprise. The eco-warriors and the minister of ecology of the region are personally convinced of this today. They took part in the plant excursion.

The major sight is the isopropyl alcohol production unit. There are no drains and the environmental impact is minimal. The technical ponds, the same pits that have repeatedly become the reason for scandalous posts, were demonstrated to guests, Bloggers and Ilya Lobov were told about the industrial wastes accumulation (no more from 2012) and explained why the ponds are not reclaimed yet, to assuage their doubts. It turns out that the project has been ready for a long time. AO “Omsky kauchuk” finished the project preparation and submitted it to the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage for the ecological expertise in May. It is forbidden to implement this project without the federal oversight body permission.

“We can see that the equipment modernization with the using the latest environmental standards is in process. There are still a number of discussions on technological processes that will be created within the framework of the federal project “Clean Air”. They will affect not only economical but ecological aspects. Definitely, the enterprise will spend a lot, it must bear them irrevocably. This is a price of our calm and health of the future generations.” the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Omsk Region Ilya Lobov says.

After the excursion guests could express their opinion for the whole country. AO GC Titan took part in the “Green line”, the video conferencing organized by the leading experts in the ecological sphere. The General Director of AO CG Titan took part in the discussion of the AO “Omsky kauchuk” plant environmental impact. He did not hide: he knew about the uncomplimentary comments and explained: the largest part of them is baseless. The devices indicators did not detect any violations, and nobody took it into account.

Experts note that the weather affects too. Last year weather conditions were unfavourable. Emissions could not evaporate because it was calm outside. It happened 200 times last year. Also we should not forget that the plant was built in the USSR era and ecological standards were other.

“Modernization can’t help in every situation; sometimes it is necessary to construct new structures. The next stage of our ecological program is to switch from the methyl-third-butyl ether to ethyl-third-butyl ether. It is other level of the ecological standard, when we refuse from the toxic methanol” Farkhad Samedov, the General Director of AO CG Titan, said.

The total investment in the enterprise modernization is about 10 billion ruble. But what is important, the enterprise doors are always open for everyone, who doubts environmental safety, and clearly demonstrate production processes.
