“Titan-Polymer” plant will render assistance to pupils of boarding schools with profession selection

The “Titan-Polymer” plant and Pskov Children’s Fund have signed a cooperation agreement within the framework of the project “Navigator in the World of Professions”. The plant will render assistance in organizing career guidance events for pupils of boarding schools in Pskov region. The project “Navigator in the world of professions" is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund.

 “We are ready to cooperate with educational institutions relative to the organization of excursions and meetings with students. Within the framework of excursions, school children will become familiar in details with modern high-tech production, learn about the labor safety  regulations at production facilities, about work wear and necessity to use personal protective equipment; about progressive technologies, ensuring maximum environmental protection, about close-circuit production cycle, minimizing emissions into the atmosphere, about the main plant divisions, quality and intended use of products,” said German Petrushko, General Director of the “Titan-Polymer” plant.

 It is planned that 350 pupils of residential care facilities from among graduates (pupils of the 8-11^th forms) will take part in the preparation of individual educational routes, full-time and remote excursions to enterprises and trainings.

“For children graduating from boarding schools, the profession selection is doubly difficult - they are more often than others unprepared for an independent life and suffer difficulties in making decisions without the support and care of teachers. The main task of our project is to render assistance to children in their professional self-determination,” said Yulia Kolesova, Deputy Chairman of Pskov Regional Branch of the Russian Children’s Fund.

We may add that the “Titan-Polymer” plant will support other projects of the fund as well. The plant management decided to provide charitable assistance in the preparation of children from low-income families and orphans by the 1^st of September.
