The Group of Companies «Titan» summarized the performance of ecological laboratory for 9M 2019

The accredited industrial hygiene testing laboratory (IHTL) of «Omsky kauchuk» plant performs continuous monitoring of the environment. For 3 quarters of 2019, the IHTL carried out 1,168 ambient air analyses. The test results proved compliance of the enterprise's activity with the established standards.

The TSIL of the GC «Titan» monitors the ambient air at the industrial site on the border of sanitary protection zone of the enterprise and at various points on the border of residential area as well as checks the quality of wastewaters.

According to the work plan, from January to September 2019 the ecological laboratory of the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk» carried out 292 surveys for the content of organic and inorganic matter at the industrial site of the enterprise. No exceedance of standards was revealed.

Another 876 analyses of ambient air were performed at reference points of residential area in Sovetsky Administrative District of Omsk and sanitary protection zone. Survey results proved compliance with the established norms and standards.

«For 9M 2019 we performed 1168 analysis of ambient air and more than 33,000 analysis of water, — reported Zoya Pak, head of the Department. — Objectiveness of tests executed by the TSIL is ensured by encoding of taken samples: samples are taken by one employee, encoded by another, and analyzed by a third employee. This is one of the requirements set by the Federal Service for Accreditation».

The IHTL includes 4 groups that carry out dozens of thousands of tests every year as part of environmental monitoring and control over compliance with occupational safety requirements (workplace air analysis and impact of physical factors).

In December 2018 the division competence was once again confirmed by the experts of the Federal Service for Accreditation (Rosakkreditatsiya). The laboratory also takes part in All-Russian interlaboratory comparative tests (ICT). In 2019, the laboratory team successfully passed planned ICT on workplace air and industrial emissions sponsored (organized) by the Ural Scientific Research Institute of Metrology.
