The GC «Titan» assessed the implementation of a key petrochemical investment project

Construction works are progressing rapidly alongside with the ongoing supply of equipment at the industrial premises of the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk» as part of the project for the cumene production facility reconstruction, which includes the creation of isopropyl alcohol production process.

The project for the cumene production facility reconstruction, which is being implemented now by the Group of Companies «Titan», provides for the transfer of the existing production process to a more advanced and environmentally-friendly zeolite catalyzed alkylation process to minimize environmental impact, and includes the organization of the production of isopropyl alcohol — a high-quality import-substituting product. The supply of equipment for the project commenced in the spring of 2019: most of the core process equipment (tanks, heat exchangers, columns etc) has already been delivered to the site of the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk». All equipment for the project was manufactured under the order of the Group of Companies «Titan» and was tailored to the specificity of Omsk petrochemical production.

Another large-scale delivery took place in October: batch of 11 German canned centrifugal pumps was supplied. The pumps will provide high-capacity pumping of liquid hydrocarbons at cumene production unit, being closed package units with shielded engine (protected from an impact of pumped medium).

In April 2019, pursuant to the procedure established under legislation, the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk» got permission for the construction of facilities under the project, and after completion of preparatory works in late August, construction of foundations for the installation of equipment and operator rooms was commenced. Currently the construction works are in active stage.

«In mid-August, monolithic concrete foundation slabs for all new facilities were produced, for which 2625 cubic meters of concrete were placed», noted Alexander Gross, project manager. «Next stage includes mounting concrete walls and vertical load-bearing structures. Construction works at the site are performed by personnel of a specialized contractor in accordance with the schedule and in compliance with occupational safety and health requirements».
