Supported by the AO GC Titan, the second group education of Eco-School for Modern Media has started.

Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Omsk region gave a start for the second education round of the Modern Media Eco-School. The project partners are the AO GC Titan and Omsk Refinery of Gazprom Neft.
The first lesson for a new group of trainees, including current and future journalists as well as representatives of the blogosphere and press officers of industrial enterprises, was attended by Ilya Lobov, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Omsk region.

"What would I like from journalists? Objectivity, impartiality. Very often a journalist expresses his or her own opinion in an article. I would like the journalist to collect the opinions of different parties and to publish materials without personal assessments. When we form the ecological image of the region, let's be objective", Ilya Lobov addressed the Eco-school audience.
The project participants will have field trips and subject-matter press tours. The trainees will get a detailed understanding of atmospheric air pollution patterns in large cities, learn the way modern transport works, and visit a waste sorting plant.

"We aimed at forming the 'Eco-school' programme in such a way as to immerse ourselves in the topical environmental issues as much as possible. The trainees of the project will be able to see a lot with their own eyes, talk to experts and get deeper insights of the region's environmental problems," Andrey Motovilov, Chairman of Omsk Union of Journalists, said. - At the end of the second course of study we will arrange a trip for journalists to Ebeity, the unique salt lake in the south of the region". At the end of the training there will be a creativity competition among the students of the first and second year of the Modern Media Eco-School for the best special informational project on ecology.
