Russian Union of Chemists has set up a platform for the development of Russian small- and medium-tonnage chemistry

Mikhail Sutyaginsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AO GC Titan and Vice-President of the Russian Union of Chemists, chaired the special Small- and Medium-Tonnage Chemistry Commission of the Russian Union of Chemists.

The new commission is a permanent working body of the Russian Union of Chemists. A list of members has already been completed, new members are being admitted and a work plan for the near future is being drawn up.

The structure was created to prepare proposals and develop a consolidated position of the Russian Union of Chemists on the development of the domestic production base of the small- and medium-tonnage chemistry, as well as to improve the efficiency of the entire Russian chemical complex. The decisions taken here will be used in the work of the Russian Union of Chemists itself and at the enterprises of the industry, and can also be taken by public authorities as a basis for the development of regulatory legal acts.

The functionality of the Small- and Medium-Tonnage Chemistry Commission of the Russian Union of Chemists includes development of a coordinated position of the Russian business community on topical issues in this sector in Russia, preparation of proposals for legislative amendments, monitoring and analysis of the current state, problems and trends in the production and consumption of the small- and medium-tonnage chemistry and forward-looking proposals for the development of the small-tonnage chemistry.

As Mikhail Sutyaginsky noted, the Commission should become an effective discussion platform for the professional and expert community; it would be able to build a constructive dialogue between entrepreneurs, educational, scientific, financial, investment and other interested communities of our country, as well as relevant organizations of the Eurasian Economic Union and international organisations.
