Resource-saving equipment was launched at Omsky kauchuk

The launch made it possible to significantly reduce butane loss and put gas into production.   

An upgraded condenser T-300/5 – a unit for cooling and condensation of vapors leaving the column for distillation of volatile components from butane-butylene fraction – was launched at AO “Omsky kauchuk”.

Due to modernization of the apparatus, isobutane loss was reduced by 10 times at the Omsky kauchuk’s commercial isobutane processing unit. In addition, new equipment features will allow the company to increase the volume of liquefied propane for further sale.

The modernized equipment has already been put in operation. “Today we can speak of the first results. Thus, in the first ten-day period of July isobutane loss was significantly decreased. That is, the upgraded condenser has allowed us to significantly reduce product loss,” the company noted.

It should be noted that Omsk kauchuk's employees were directly involved in the equipment modernization process.
