Preparatory works at cumene production facility of the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk» are in progress

More than 40 specialists of two Omsk contractors and departments of «Omsky kauchuk» plant are involved at the reconstruction site of cumene production facilities. They perform removal of existing utilities and prepare the sites for laying foundations.

According to the project of cumene production facility reconstruction a modern vault-type operator's room and isopropyl alcohol process plant will be installed on the site. Removal of utilities is carried out in the area forming part of development footprint. Process pipelines were partially dismounted in June and in July additional works were performed.

Employees of specialized contractors mounted 1.7 meters of new raw materials (gasoline) pipeline and re-layed 4.5 kilometers of underground power cable which was laid into new reinforced-concrete cable trays for safety reasons.

Preparatory stage also included grubbing, dismounting of concrete slabs and soil leveling for subsequent arrangement of foundation pit. The works were carried out by construction and repair division of the plant.

It is worth reminding that in compliance with the procedure established under legislation in April 2019 the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk» obtained permit for construction of facilities for the implementation of the project. Works at the construction site are performed in compliance with the schedule as well as pursuant to labor protection and safety requirements. The works are coordinated by project management office.

The project of cumene production facility reconstruction aimed at moving to more advanced and eco-friendly alkylation process based on zeolite catalyst has been implemented since 2018 and is part of a larger key project of the Group of Companies «Titan» targeted at increase of depth of hydrocarbons processing using energy-efficient technologies and manufacturing of import-substituting products of organic synthesis.
