«Poliom» implements a project within the framework of the environmental agreement signed with the Government of the region

The joint venture of the Group of Companies «Titan», Gazprom Neft and SIBUR went ahead with commissioning of the hydrocarbon gas compression unit. Technical support was provided by representatives of Italian companies — suppliers of industrial equipment.

Start-up and commissioning activities are carried out by efforts of the polypropylene production shop as well as technical services of Omsk Polypropylene Plant. Engineering supervisors from SIAD and Res were faced with the task of checking the readiness of the equipment for start-up, inter alia, setting the necessary operation parameters and performing verification of the security system.

Compact hydrocarbon gas compression unit is part of an investment project that will allow propylene-containing gas to be returned to the process from flare vents for further recovery of propylene. The compression unit consists of a SIAD reciprocating compressor, which provides the necessary pressure, and Res condensation unit, which includes a condenser, pumping equipment and automatic control system. The plant is expected to reduce the total amount of recycled gases by 20-30% of the current volume due to the use of flare vents compression unit. The project's cost is about 100 million rubles.

Upon completion of the project, the production process at the plant will fully comply with the principles of the best available technologies. «The project is part of the measures included in the Environmental Partnership Agreement signed between «Poliom» plant and the regional Ministry of Natural Resources. Its implementation will also help solve the tasks set in the «Ecology» National Project», outlined Igor Tikhonov, General Director of the enterprise.
