The project for the reclamation of the AO "Omsky Kautchuk" plant's waste landfill has received a positive conclusion by the state ecological expertise of Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources. Now the company has to approve the project and notify the site owner (Omsk administration) of work commencement. The work will start after that at the landfill, and the time for completion of all the planned work is 47 months. 

The planned volume of expenses for landfill reclamation suggests more than 200 million roubles. The AO "Omsky kauchuk" has already invested about 20 million roubles in the design works. 

As part of the project preparation, geological-engineering, geodetic, engineering-environmental surveys have been carried out, as well as the disposal and neutralization technologies for each type of waste located in the landfill have been worked out.

Several stages of reclamation will take place as designed: physical stage, then biological one. Once the waste has been removed, grass and trees will be planted in place of the "ponds".  

The company's specialists continue monitoring the soil and air at the landfill - no standard exceedances have been recorded. It should be reminded that the landfill has been out of operation since 2012 and poses no threat to human life and health.
