«Omsky kauchuk» celebrated its 57th birthday with a festive event and awards ceremony

October 24 is a special date for the GC «Titan». This day 57 years ago the first commercial product was manufactured at the largest enterprise of the Group of Companies - «Omsky kauchuk» plant. On festive occasion awards ceremony was arranged for the most distinguished employees.

In total 222 employees of the enterprise received awards of various grades on occasion of the plant's birthday. Thus, 168 employees received certificates of merit and commendations from administration of the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk». During the ceremony which was held in the museum of the GC «Titan» 11 employees of the plant were awarded with certificates of merit from the Ministry of Energy of Russia, another seven employees received certificates of merit from the Ministry of Industry of Omsk region and letters of commendation from the Governor of the region. Nine awards were prepared for the plant employees by the Administration of Omsk, Omsk City Council and Administration of Sovetsky District. Besides, 27 employees received honorary corporate awards including eight decorations «For Distinguished Work» and appointment certificate «Honorary Worker of the GC «Titan».

On occasion of plant's birthday festive edition of radio-newspaper with best wishes to the plant's personnel went on air. Festive music was singing in the morning at the enterprise gates and in office building.

Today «Omsky kauchuk» plant is a rapidly growing industrial enterprise. The plant's production capacities make for more than a third of the Russia's market of butadiene-styrene and butadiene-methylstyrene rubbers as well as more than a quarter of national market of methyl-tret-butyl ether. 3000 residents of Omsk are employed at the enterprise.

Departments of the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk» actively implement resource-saving technologies and accomplish programs aimed at decreasing impact on the environment. The enterprise carries out range of projects strategic for the region: retrofitting of phenol-acetone production facility, reconstruction of cumene production facility with isopropanol production unit, modernization of infrastructural facilities and other projects.
