NZSM makes preparations for the manufacture of a new antiseptic product

Novocherkassk Lubricant Production Plant (is included in the Group of Companies “Titan”) forms a new direction for the production of several types of products based on isopropyl alcohol. Specialists have completed the development of the first product - a cosmetic gel with antiseptic effect.

At present the entire world community is looking for ways to combat the pandemic, and antibacterial agents have become in high demand. According to analytical agencies, sales of antiseptic drugs increased on average in January - February 2020 by more than 10 times compared to previous months. The demand peak fell on March, when a two-month supply of disinfectants was sold within a week.

The enterprises of the GC “Titan” actively work in priority areas for the Russian industry, oriented in on import substitution and production of consumer goods. That’s why the specialists of Novocherkassk Lubricant Production Plant have reduced the time period for developing a new range of products and are already entering the production stage.

The new product composition includes dehydrated isopropyl alcohol, glycerin, perfume composition and skin softening components. The antibacterial gel will help keeping hands clean and gently clean them from dirt and microbes. The new agent will allow to satisfy the demand of the Russian market for household antiseptics.

In the near future it is planned to produce a trial lot of the gel. Initially it will be manufactured on the basis of an imported product, and with the start of their own isopropanol production by the Group of Companies “Titan” this direction will be further developed on their own raw materials. The next step is supposed to be the output of car care products and household chemicals. The required equipment is already being purchased by the company.

It is planned that the enterprise will be able to manufacture up to 300 tons of products per month. The new product will be packed in containers of 300, 500 and 1000 ml. The company has already purchased a packing line and packing supplier has been selected.
