Novocherkassk Lubricant Production Plant (NZSM) creates facilities for the industrial production of antiseptics

Late in March the Group of Companies “Titan” joined the list of 600 system-forming enterprises. The authorities monitor the development and activity of such organizations, proposing state support measures. This list is approved by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, and it includes the companies that exert a significant influence on the development of the country’s economy, ensure the highest rate of employment in their industries and are large taxpayers.

The Group of Companies “Titan” as a system-forming enterprise quickly responded to the existing economic conditions and reoriented the existing industrial facilities of NZSM for the production of antiseptic agents. Novocherkassk Lubricant Production Plant has already started testing new antiseptic products based on isopropyl alcohol - an alcohol solution and a cosmetic gel with antibacterial effect.

“Novocherkassk Lubricant Production Plant quickly reoriented its activity proceeding from the tasks faced by the manufacturers - to reduce the shortage of antiseptics at the market. The mass production of the range of antiseptics is organized based on Nizhny Novgorod and Tula divisions of the enterprise,” comments Igor Kostyuk, General Director of NZSM LLC. “Isopropanol is the most important component of our antiseptics. Firstly, the World Health Organization has included it in the formulations of disinfectants. Secondly, the antiseptic effect of isopropyl alcohol is stronger than ethanol, for example”.

The company has already completed the development of the cosmetic gel with antiseptic action and alcohol solution. The enterprise production facilities allow to produce up to 300 tons of the disinfectant gel per month, and alcohol solution - up to 500 tons. After testing and obtaining required conclusions the products will be sent to the first consumers. In the coronavirus infection pandemic conditions NZSM has exerted all efforts to ensure the product quick entering the markets. The first shipments of the antiseptic agents are expected to be made early in April.
