Mikhail Sutyaginsky presented transport greening program at RRF-2019

On September 4-6 Vladivostok hosts Eastern Economic Forum. During the first day of the event Mikhail Sutyaginsky spoke at the session «Eastern vector of development of petrochemistry: projects, support measures, drivers of development».

Influence of ecological factor on the developemnt of petrochemistry was one of key issues discussed during the session. Mikhail Sutyaginsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the «GC «Titan» JSC noted that many of the projects implemented by the Group of Companies are based on the introduction of «green chemistry» which aims at gradual replacement of unrenewable reserves of raw hydrocarbons with renewable vegetable resources. This is a fundamental principle of the comprehensive program «Clean Air Formula» developed by «Titan» aimed at greening major source of pollution in the cities — transport.

«At our production facilities we create the products decreasing impact on the environment, — noted Mikhail Sutyaginsky in his message. — In particular I mean eco-friendly car care products based on isopropyl alcohol. Car care products made from isopropyl alcohol contains no additives harmful for human health and the environment».

He noted that project for reconstruction of cumene production facilitis with isopropyl alcohol production unit was implemented by «Omsky kauchuk» plant, within the framework of which state-of-the-art technology will be introduced. Isopropyl alchohol has already been included into work plan of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade on import substitution in chemical industry.

Commenting on the speech Mikhail Sutyaginsky cited Omsk as an example where motor transport emissions make for a half of total emissions into the atmosphere from stationary and mobile sources: «Project «Clean Air Formula» will enable to reduce air pollution level for more than 70 thnd. tons and to arrange manufacturing of products for motor transport and road infrastructure with improved ecological characteristics».
