Group of Companies «Titan» joined ecological initiative of the Government of Omsk region

On February 13 the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk» (forms a part of the Group of Companies «Titan») and «Poliom», Ltd. (joint venture of the Group of Companies «Titan», Gazprom Neft and SIBUR) signed an Agreement on ecological partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the region. These were the first enterprises of Petrochemical Industrial Cluster of Omsk region which supported the initiative of the regional Government.

The act reflecting cooperation between the Government of the region and petrochemical companies in the field of environment protection was signed by Ilya Lobov, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology and CEOs of the enterprises — Yan Kirsanov, General Director of the «GC «Titan» JSC in the name of the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk» and Igor Tikhonov, General Director of «Poliom», Ltd.

«For the Group of Companies «Titan» signing of the agreements with the Ministry is an important part of cooperation with the purpose of reduction of ecological load on the region», noted Yan Kirsanov. «All projects in which the Group of Companies «Titan» participates today are aimed at decreasing impact on the environment. For our part we confirm that arrangements specified in annexes to the agreements will be rigorously fulfilled. the Group of Companies «Titan» does its best to take part in improvement of ecological situation in Omsk and Omsk region».

According to the act the enterprises undertake to continue the work on improvement of ecological situation in the region, including implementation of arrangements aimed at reduction of negative impact on the environment within agreed terms. In particular, «Omsky kauchuk» plant shall implement projects on large-scale replacement of pumping units as well as the range of arrangements aimed at modernization of infrastructure, and Omsk Polypropylene Plant shall complete investment project for recuperation and compression of vent losses. Both enterprises undertake to carry out additional greening of basic area and industrial zone.

The agreement also defines the conditions for public supervision of real production processes at production facilities performed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Omsk region as well as the procedure of cooperation with Center of Ecological Monitoring and Prompt Response of the Ministry of Natural Resources. The agreement will be valid till 2024.

Ilya Lobov noted that participation of the Group of Companies «Titan» in comprehensive plan of reduction of impact on the environment drawn up for Omsk is very valuable, and attainment of goals set by the President of Russia is impossible without participation of business.

It should be noted that the Group of Companies «Titan» allotted more than 200 million rubles for HSSE arrangements in 2018.
