GC Titan delivered 30 kg of used batteries for disposal

Power supplies unfit for use were sent for recycling to one of the specialized enterprises of Chelyabinsk.

Another environmental campaign on battery collection organized in the divisions of GC Titan has been successfully completed. It started in spring 2022. Special containers were placed in the office buildings at Gubkin Ave., 22 and Gubkin Ave., 30. Each container is designed for 15 kg of used galvanic cells. Unfit for use batteries were sent for recycling to one of the enterprises in Chelyabinsk.

It is worth noting that proper recycling of old batteries is important for saving the environment. Almost 95% of the content can be recovered from used galvanic cells for future use. Process-derived manganese, zinc, iron and graphite are used in iron and steel industry, pharmaceuticals and organic synthesis.

Collecting used batteries is a traditional environmental campaign at the GC Titan. It has been regularly held since 2015. In 2022, not only Omsk enterprises of the Group of Companies took part in it, but also Titan Polymer plant in Pskov. This campaign is just a part of strong environmental culture of the GC Titan. Employees regularly participate in Saturday voluntary work days, in environmental events in the regions of presence. For more system approach and development of sustainable nature-oriented thinking and environmental habits, the Group of companies is implementing "Eco-Saturday" federal project. It is aimed at stable environmental habits formation, conscious consumption as well as introduction of environmentally friendly approach in all spheres of human activity.
