Foreign journalists have seen the start of production of a new film type at the Titan-Polymer plant

Media representatives from 6 countries saw the start of production of a new BOPET film type at the GC Titan’s Pskov enterprise. The event took place as part of a press tour arranged by the Government of Pskov region with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Journalists from China, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and the Republic of Belarus visited the Titan-Polymer plant. For several months, the company has been producing test products, setting the equipment and gradually reaching the planned production capacity. "Usually, the test start of new samples is carried out in closed mode, but we decided to demonstrate journalists the way the launch of new products actually takes place without hiding anything," Kirill Neretin, General Director of Titan-Polymer plant, said.

During the tour, foreign media representatives got to see the film production process firsthand, visited the longitudinal and transversal stretching areas and the control room where the production process is managed. Journalists from friendly countries showed genuine interest in BOPET film. Thus, the correspondent of the National State TV and Radio Company (Belarus) wanted to know about the possibility to use Belarusian feedstock for Pskov manufacturing, and China and Vietnam representatives asked a number of questions about the solutions of various issues concerning import substitution.

"Over the last time the company has been solving the issues of reorienting its sales markets from Western Europe to new markets, including CIS countries, Asia and Africa. Certainly, we are very glad for the media attention and the opportunity to disseminate information to potential consumers," Maxim Filippov, Commercial Director of "Titan-Polymer" LLC, noted.

We should also note that foreign media representatives have been invited to attend the opening of the second BOPET film production line at the end of 2023.
