Farkhad Samedov shared his experience of introducing lean production at «Innoprom-2020»

On July 7th the General Director of the “GC “Titan” JSC Farkhad Samedov opened an online session held within the framework of the International Industrial Exhibition “Innoprom”. The purpose of the event was the discussion of the topic of the lean production and increasing labor productivity at enterprises of the chemical and petrochemical industries.

This year the event was held in a remote format. Experts of various spheres - heads of industrial enterprises, representatives of the country’s petrochemical industries, as well as top managers of sectoral consulting organizations participated in the online session devoted to the topic of lean production. The webinar was moderated by Igor Lyashkov, Deputy Director of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Research and Technology Center “Khimvest” of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

The online meeting was opened by Farkhad Samedov. He underlined that the work for improving labor productivity implies attention even to minimum rationalization innovations.

“Based on my experience, I can note that the General Director, the person who heads the enterprise, should consolidate and rebuild it in order to observe the principles of lean production. If he is obsessed with this idea and if he consistently implements it, then the effect can exceed all expectations. And it should be remembered that even small innovative ideas in aggregate can bring an economic effect comparable to the implementation of a large investment project, - said Farkhad Samedov. - In this direction it won’t work to follow a template. Such projects will be specific for each enterprise”.

This opinion of the top manager of the “GC “Titan” JSC was supported by specialists providing consulting business services. Speakers shared modern support systems for industrial enterprises and specifics of work in the sphere of the development strategy planning, which include the principles of lean production and can be adjusted to individual customer conditions.

Besides, during the online session, the topic of the operation of industrial enterprises during the coronavirus pandemic was discussed. Farkhad Samedov noted that the GC “Titan” fully complied with the contractual obligations to supply products to partners. At the same time, the company promptly responded to the new economic conditions by organizing the manufacture of antiseptic products based on Novocherkassk Lubricant Production Plant.
