Donors of the Group of Companies «Titan» donated 200 liters of blood in 2018

The Group of Companies «Titan» summed up the results of the voluntary initiative for the donation of blood: several hundreds of employees of the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk», «Poliom», Ltd. (joint- venture of the Group of Companies «Titan», Gazprom Neft and SIBUR) and management company became donors in 2018.

Last year, a mobile team of Omsk region Budgetary Healthcare Institution «Blood Center» held 8 Donor Days at the Group of Companies «Titan». During this time, blood bank supplies were replenished with 200 liters of vital fluid. It should be noted that most of the donors work in the largest petrochemical enterprise of the region — «Omsky kauchuk» plant.

«We have established very good relations with «Omsky kauchuk» plant, and visits to the enterprise on Donor Days have become a heart-warming tradition. Alongside with regular donors, we encounter lots of primary donors who are trying to take for a model their colleagues», points out Valentina Kronevald, head of Mobile Team of Omsk Regional Budgetary Healthcare Institution «Blood Center».

The Group of Companies «Titan» has 14 employees who are holders of the title «Honorary Donor of Russia». Most of them are employees of the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk», two employees work at Omsk Polypropylene Plant, and one more represents INVESTKHIMPROM Co.. Ltd..

«The Plant has a long tradition of blood donations. I like to contribute to those who needs help, the more especially as I have a rather rare blood group A, Rh-negative. Sometimes I get calls from medical institutions with a request to become a donor. Such moments are more significant for your own worldview, because you know that your blood is delivered to a specific person who is in dire need of a transfusion», says Natalya Shevtsova, Operator of Water Supply Shop at the PJSC «Omsky kauchuk».

The tradition to hold Donor Days was resumed in 2011 after a long break. Within 7 years, employees of «Titan» replenished the blood bank of the Blood Center by 1,000 liters. The next Donor Days will take place at «Omsky kauchuk» plant on February 7 and 8.
