Chemical industry focused on industrial Ecology

On December 4 results of the 2020 year were summed up at the final expanded meeting of Committee for the Chemical Industry of “Delovaya Rossiya”. In 2020 the most important projects for the Committee were projects related to the ecologization of industrial enterprises and development of law-tonnage chemistry production.

Experts and members of the Committee, representatives of Federal and Regional executive authorities, including Ministry of Industry and Trade, as well as Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage, Russian Union of Chemists, National Agency for the Development of Qualifications and Sberbank of Russia took part in this meeting – 60 persons at all.

Mikhail Sutyaginsky the Head of Committee for the Chemical Industry of “Delovaya Rossiya” held the meeting and noted, that ecologization of industrial enterprises and development of law-tonnage chemistry production were chosen as key directions of work in 2020.

“Committee formulated and send its proposes related to regulation of tariffs for railway carriage, reconsideration of substance dangerous class, stimulation of law-tonnage chemistry and biotechnologies development, and prepared list of changes to the draft federal law on SEZ, – Mikhail Sutyaginsky summed up. – Besides this work, we also focused on industrial ecology – prepared the project of enterprise Ecostandard concept in a proactive manner and tested it at several sites, on November 19 our documents were sent to Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia».

Actuality of chosen directions were noted during the meeting of President of Russia Vladimir Putin with the Heads of large-scale Russian petrochemical companies, which took place on December 1.

In his speech, Alexandr Orlov, director of Department of chemic-technological complex and bioengineer technologies of Ministry of Trade of Russia summed up results of the year for the Russian chemical industry. In his opinion, despite of coronavirus pandemic, in 2020, there has been a slight increase in domestic consumption and the volume of shipments abroad: “From the beginning of 2020 8 investments projects with funding of over 30 billion rubles were realized and 300 new high-performance jobs were created”. Alexander Orlov also confirmed his readiness to continue cooperation with the Committee next year, including on the issue of medium- and small-tonnage chemistry.

First time the subject of innovation training of employees for chemical industry was presented in Committee agenda, it is especially important for the new projects implementation. Yulia Smirnova, First Deputy Head of the National Agency for the Development of Qualifications, told about cooperation with employers – large-scale industrial enterprises of our country. In accordance with their demands the Agency can afford digital tools for staffing for specific projects.

Alexandr Vlasov, Head of Project Office of Federal project “Clean Air” of Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage, told the participants about the project implementation process. He noted that creation of information system of atmosphere air quality monitoring is planned, it allows to save and analyze data about emissions and monitor air quality and inform the population.

“The Federal project “Clean Air” is not only the business or governmental one, it assumes the synergy of all participants: business, government, science and experts,” noted Alexandr Vlasov.

Sberbank of Russia showed its interest in cooperation with the Committee. According to Natalya Ermakova, Managing Director, Head of the Department for Working with Key Clients of Industry of Sberbank, the bank is ready to develop technological products and solutions for industry, as well as participate in the discussion of projects that the Committee accumulates on its site.

In 2021 the Committee will continue its work in the direction of industry ecoligization, development of law-tonnage chemistry and will solve the personnel problem of the chemical industry.

Let us remember, that Committee for the Chemical Industry of “Delovaya Rossiya” was created in 2017 and in March of 2020 was re-structured in accordance with structural changes in the work of the committees of “Delovaya Rossiya”. Today 70 persons, 23 experts, ecologists and businessmen. In 2020, the Committee held more than 20 events, bringing together a total of 500 people.
