AO “Omsky kauchuk” is upgrading its laboratory equipment

A laboratory for repair and calibration of temperature sensors used at the production facilities of the plant was launched in the instrumentation shop of AO “Omsky kauchuk” (part of Titan Group of companies) after upgrading. It will be possible to check these instruments after the paperwork is complete.

Modern equipment including a ventilation hood, thermal paste, and distiller was purchased to build the revamped laboratory. The new test devices offer a high level of measurement accuracy. The room has been remodeled in accordance with all requirements for building such a facility: a vacuum ventilation system, humidifier, and lightning has been installed and modern interior finish materials have been applied.

“The laboratory complies with all regulatory requirements. Using the new equipment we will be able to carry out not only calibration but check of the relevant instruments within our territory. As for now, we take the sensors to the State Regional Center for Standardization and Metrology. When we receive the permission we will be able to invite a verification officer to our site. Such an approach makes it possible to significantly shorten the verification period and minimize production downtime. And after the additional package of documentation and special training of personnel, we can even conduct verification by ourselves,” deputy head of the I&C department Alexander Kalashnik noted.

It should be noted that next year a large-scale upgrade is planned for another laboratory of the I&C shop - the water measuring unit. It is used for repair and calibration of modern flow meters of all types. It is also planned to update the calibration equipment, repair the premises and communications.
