AO GC Titan: The environmental program of the enterprises should be synchronized with the regional development strategy

The public, enterprises and regional authorities must share responsibility for environmental activities. The mechanism of interaction of all stakeholders, as well as the indicator of public involvement in activities of plants, can be characterized in the standards - the region and the enterprise. This was stated by Alina Rybina, Deputy General Director for Corporate Communications of AO GC Titan at the VII Independent Professional Forum of GR-Directors.

"There is a problem when the public, non-profit organizations, business, science, regional and federal authorities have a weak level of communication between themselves. Because of this, participants do not have an understanding of the regional agenda and common goals of environmental programs," commented Alina Rybina.

The standard of an industrial enterprise should include a clear plan for reducing the environmental impact and introducing new technologies, as well as a program of interaction with the audience. All this should be synchronized with the development strategy of the region of operation.

"In addition, it is important to popularize the environmental programs of the enterprises. To be informationally open, to explain the technical processes at the plant, to work with the media. Creation of public reporting of the company on its activities in the field of environmental load is also a big plus for an industrial organization," said Alina Rybina. "I would like to emphasize that all this systematic work is an important part of the ESG agenda, which continues to be relevant in spite of external circumstances".
