AO GC Titan team’s car passed the 24-hour retro-race successfully

AO GC Titan became a partner of the first in Russia 24-hour sport and classic car race CLASSIC 24.

This weekend the race CLASSIC 24 took place in Moscow. This is international individual-and-team 24-hour closed-circuit classic retro-car race. The team of drivers drove tens of kilometers of highway by the sport car “Volga” GAZ-24 branded in the AO GC Titan corporate style.

“This is a race car prepared according to all the canons. “Volga”is originally long base car, which has its features of cornering and it is necessary to feel this car well. This car can go very fast. Some people call it Russian NASCAR” Pavel Pastushkov, the member of the “Titan”driver team, told.

The team consists of four people. Gleb Semenov, Yuri Alekseev, Alexander Nesterov were together with Pavel Pastushkov. Drivers changed each other during the race and did not hide that it was difficult. The weather also was not pleasant: the car motor overheated daytime because of the heat, and it was raining at night.

“That was the longest auto-sport event in the world practice. It is deemed that 24 hours is something like the zenith of many motorsport careers. We decided that this ascension should have place in the amateur race too. Difficulties are in everything: classic cars are mechanisms which are not new. When it is +30 outside, it is +60 inside of the car. So during the 40-minute driving set, the driver can lose up to 2 kilograms of weight” the race CLASSIC24 organizer Alexander Smirnov said.

This year there was not the spectators’participation due to the difficult epidemic situation on Moscow region.  People can watch the race via live streaming, partner of which also was the AO GC Titan.

We should note, that AUTOEXPRESS и QUALIA, the Titan-SM, Limited company own trademarks of auto chemistry, were presented. They included the premium extensive product line branded QUALIA, and more cheap production, represented by the trademark AUTOEXPRESS.

“AO GC Titan presence on this event is normal. We are major supplier of phenol, acetone, isopropyl alcohol, and produce the production, which belongs to the auto cosmetics, auto chemistry, oils, and lubricants. The race CLASSIC24 is very drive event where we all had a lot of fun. Despite the fact that these are not “super fashion”cars, but classic is the classic. And when the moment happens, when "Muscovites", "Volga", "Zhiguli" roars –this is a real pleasure, at least for me, who drove “Volga” for many years” Alina Rybina, the Deputy General Director of Titan Group of Companies for Corporate Communications, said.

According to the results of the competition, the three winners included the teams Mazda Hight Power / KV Motorsport (Mazda 323), UMMC-Holding Corp. Motorsport (Mercedes-Benz 1989) and STK Soyuz. 29 cars took part in the race.

All winners received special presents from the Titan-SM, Limited company - Qualia and AutoExpress products including the windscreen washer, oil and antifreeze liquid. The Victory Cups and presents were presented by the multiple winner of the Le Mans series - Roman Rusinov.
