AO GC Titan held a hockey tournament on the occasion of 60th anniversary of Omsky kauchuk plant

A competition, timed to coincide to the plant anniversary, was held from September 30 to October 2 in the V.A.Fetisov Ice Arena. 8 hockey teams from Omsk, the Omsk region and Surgut took part in the tournament. All the teams are members of the Night Hockey League.

Titan Group of companies was represented by three teams: “Titan 40+”, “Titan 2  40+”, and “Titan 18+” participated on a non-competitive basis. They were accompanied by the hockey teams Born in the USSR, SibirAvtoTrans, Fifth Legion, Asgard and Atlant.

The players were divided into two groups in which 4 teams were included. In the first two days winners inside the groups were determined and on the third day the teams’ positions in the final tournament table were determined. Depending on the tournament positions of the teams in the group stage, pairs for the final game, the game for the third, fifth and seventh place were formed.

“Titan Group of companies and AO “Omsky kauchuk” are always in favor of sports. We are especially fond of hockey. Our company has been supporting the development of hockey in the region for 20 years. We are reliable partners of the Night Hockey League. Three adult hockey teams of Titan GC successfully take part in both Night Hockey League and Amateur Ice Hockey Players Association of the Omsk region in the Pro-division,” General Director of AO “Omsky kauchuk” Sergey Ivanilov said. “We also support children sports. For example, last December we helped purchase hockey quality equipment for a children team. Therefore, it is not surprising that the hockey tournament timed to coincide to the 60^th anniversary of the plant became an important part of celebration. This competition was held at the highest level. I would like to thank all the teams for their participation and great play throughout the tournament”.

As a result, our guests from Surgut, the team SibirAvtoTrans, celebrated the victory in the official standings of the tournament. “Titan 2 40+” took the second place and “Titan 40+” took the third place. An awarding ceremony was held after the tournament.
