AO GC Titan became a partner of Green Marathon-2021

On June 5, the World Environment Day, one of the biggest events of the early summer, Green Marathon 2021, organized by Sberbank, took place in Omsk.

The project is being implemented with the support of Sberbank Charity Foundation “Contribution to the Future” in 180 Russian cities. The mass race of Omsk residents was held supported by Omsk Mayor's Office and large companies, including the GC Titan.

This year, the aim of the project was to draw attention to environmental problems and appeal to Russian citizens for environmental initiatives to take a few simple steps for eco-problems solving.  Green Marathon 2021 was held under the slogan “Every step is a trace. What step will you take?” The eco-sports event included a 4.2 km competitive race for everyone over 18 years, an out of competition children's running bikes heat, and competitive short-distance races for children.

The Titan combined team, which included the employees of the AO GC Titan and the AO “Omsky Kauchuk”, together with active sports fans, families and employees of Omsk companies took the start of the Green Marathon with a distance of 4.2 km. It should be noted that the GC Titan actively supports environmentally-oriented events, with the help of which it takes a step towards formation of environmental and conscious thinking of the company's employees and their surroundings.

Being among the first thousand finishers, the Titan members received participant medals. For many of them, this race was far from their first sporting experience. As one of the company's team members said, there is another great marathon this summer ahead.

“I got the most positive emotions from the race and the event in general, there was no anxiety at all,” Stanislav Kuzovov, the race participant, Leading Engineer of the Capital Construction Department of the AO GC Titan shared his impressions. - For me to toe the starting line of Green Marathon, first of all, is a test of myself. There are plans for another mass race - in the Siberian International Marathon.”

In addition to the Titan team participation, the Group of сompanies acted as a partner of Green Marathon, establishing a special nomination 'The sportiest family'. As a prize, the nomination winners received a Yandex.Station, a smart column with a built-in voice assistant. 

In addition, the event area included an environmental zone where participants and guests could learn more about waste recycling and solidify received their knowledge in practice.
