About 200 employees of AO “Omsky kauchuk” work and study at the same time

The 25th of January is the Day of the Russian Student. This holiday is celebrated not only by students, but also by a number of employees of the plant..

The employees can study at Omsk universities and technical colleges and work at the same time. This enables them to gain new knowledge in their professions and improve their working skills.

As of today, 188 employees of AO “Omsky kauchuk” have a student status. Twice a year they pull out their student’s record books and start reading scientific literature. The 32 employees, whose education process is financed by the plant, are very thorough in their preparation for the exams.

The students chose three education institutes for themselves: Omsk State Technical University, Siberian Cossack Institute of Technology and Management (branch) MGUTU, and Siberian State Automobile and Road University.

The most popular fields of study among the students are “Chemical Technology of Organic Substances”, “Process machinery and equipment”, “Automation of technological processes and industries”, “Electricity and electrical engineering”, “Technical and environmental safety”.

“Getting higher education is an important step in a worker’s life. Especially when he/she works for a petrochemical company.

“Employees who work and study are people who want to develop themselves, set new professional goals and achieve them,”  Deputy General Director for organizational development and human resources management Natalia Gornastaleva said.
