The project of the Titan’s Pskov enterprise - “Titan-Polymer” LLC – won the first place in the Green Country nomination at the #MYVMESTE (#WETOGETHER) International prize.

During the year dozens of environmental events including eco-quests, roundtable discussions, interviews, eco-lectures for workers, challenges, contests, and voluntary Saturday works have been held within the framework of the Eco-Saturday Project.

“Ecological education and environmental protection are currently one of the key themes. It is important for business to support main ideas of the Ecology National Project and help to develop ecological culture of the citizens. For us the Prize is the evidence of the work we do is important; it’s a good inspiration and motivation for further development. And, of course, it is the work of many people, a large team worked on the project,” the project co-author, Director of Communications at the “Titan-Polymer” LLC plant Snezhanna Ermolaeva commented.

Alina Rybina, Deputy General Director for Corporate Communications at Titan Group of Companies, and Sergey Elizarov, head of the Pskov regional branch of the Russian Ecological Movement are also among the authors of the project. The project participants develop eco-habits and motivate their social circle to consume consciously: share knowledge, photo and video reports in social media, start thematic challenges.

Every Saturday, the project's official social media channels talk about eco-friendly lifestyle and conscious consumption. The project organizers also became a general partner of the “Clean Pskov” Ecological Contest, within the framework of which more than 60 trees were purchased and planted on the territory of the city. The project second phase involves the creation of unique eco-spaces in Pskov region: in apartments and at public areas (neighborhood, office, and urban spaces), including spaces for separate waste collection. Test sites have been determined; the work on the eco-space project in Pskov is underway. The project is implemented in cooperation with experts from the Russian Ecological Movement. Next year the Eco-Saturday project is planned to be implemented in Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, and the Tula and Rostov regions.

We should add that the #MYVMESTE (#WETOGETHER) International Forum is held in Moscow Central Exhibition Hall “Manege” on the eve of Volunteer Day and brings together volunteers, representatives of socially-oriented businesses, as well as journalists and bloggers around the idea of “Partnership for Common Purposes”. More than 300 experts, representing authorities, leading non-profit organizations, commercial companies and the media, speak at the forum's business program sessions.
