TASS: The AO GC Titan will construct an epoxy resin plant that will fully cover Russia's needs

The AO GC Titan plans to launch the production of epoxy resins in Omsk by 2027. It will fully cover Russia’s needs for this component used in the production of all modern materials. General Director of the AO GC Titan Farhad Samedov reported this to journalists on Friday.
“Today our country is in need of epoxy resins. They are fully imported to Russia in the amount of 70 000 tons per year. The AO GC Titan has set itself the task to establish a new epoxy resins production, which will fully cover import,” Mr. Samedov said.

He explained that these resins were used for the production of all modern materials with requested durability and proportion. “Such a great industrial country as Russia must have its own epoxy resin production,” the head of the AO GC Titan emphasized.

According to him, the investment value of the entire industrial chain, including necessary bisphenol and polycarbonate production, is estimated at 60 billion rubles. “As for terms, it is about five or six years from the investment decision to the facility launch. I think it is aproximately 2027,” Mr. Samedov said.

The AO GC Titan’s petrochemical complex includes three establishments: the AO “Omsky kauchuk, “Pskovsky Zavod “Titan-Polymer” LLC, and Titan-SM, LLC specialized in lubricant production.  The Group of companies also includes an agro-industrial complex in Omsk region, consisting of a feed mill, a pig-breeding, and a meat processing plant.
