“Titan-Polymer” plans to create in the future an industrial cluster for PET processing in Pskov region.

This news was delivered by German Petrushko, General Director of “Titan-Polymer” plant in Pskov, at the round table "Instruments of Regional Industry Development: Attraction of Foreign Investors and International Cooperation", informs regional media. The event took place on June 28 in the framework of Hanseatic Cross-Border Cooperation Forum.

German Petrushko noted that the investor plans to not only construct a plant for the production of BOPET films and PET granules, but also create a cluster for their processing. At the same time, he noted that the creation of such a cluster requires a lot of efforts and a good deal of expertise.

"Our products include strategic raw materials, i.e. threads and fibers, which are, in particular, very important feedstock for solving the problems of light industry. Food industry is interested in it, too. Moreover, our products will be in demand not only in domestic but also in foreign markets," said “Titan-Polymer” CEO.

He also informed that the Pskov enterprise also plans to produce unique granules with special properties, which, according to him, are not produced at any other enterprise in Russia.

German Petrushko pointed out that the company, together with the Academy of Sciences and Pskov State University, will review the possibility to produce other materials at the Pskov plant.

He recalled that “Titan-Polymer” construction project implies a multiplier effect due to the development of related industries and services, such as, for example, transport or cleaning companies. One workplace created by the anchor enterprise may cause to create up to 3-4 workplaces at partner enterprises.

Among possible ways of cooperation, German Petrushko also mentioned international cooperation.
