SEZ “Moglino”: The working meeting of the Pskov region Administration and the AO GC Titan company management took place

The meeting of the Pskov region Governor Mikhail Vedernikov and representatives of AO GC Titan took place on 10^th of June 2020. The major questions, connected with the implementation of the investment project of the “Titan-polymer” plant construction on the territory of the special economic zone “Moglino”, were discussed on the working meeting. The Chairman of the Board of Directors Mikhail Sutyaginsky, General Director of AO GC Titan Farkhad Samedov and General Director of the “Titan-Polymer” LLC Herman Petrushko took part in the meeting on the part of AO GC Titan.

 “Titan-Polymer” LLC is an anchor resident of the special economic zone “Moglino” and that’s why implementation of the project is under the personal control of the regional Head and, despite of the bad epidemiological situation, all the works should be carried out on schedule.

Mikhail Sutyaginsky and German Petrushko presented the implementation process of the project first stage, the two BOBET-films production lines, capacity of which is up to 72 thousand tonnes per year. In accordance with words of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AO GC Titan, the work is carrying out on schedules. The construction of the main BOPET production building is planned up to end of June.

“The building is 240 meters long and about 100 meters wide. The full area is 28 thousand sqm. At present the finished-products storage area is carried out. The customs controlled zone was placed there,” Mikhail Sutyaginsky noted, and added that about 90 vehicles with the special imported equipment have already arrived and 40 more will arrive soon. The installation works beginning is scheduled at the end of July.

At present about 3.8 billion rubles were invested in the project, and one billion out of the 3.8 have already been implemented. The launch of the first BOPET production plant is scheduled until the end of the year.

Also Mikhail Sutyaginsky said that the fighting with the Covid-19 pandemic made adjustments to the AO GC Titan work and allowed to consider new possibilities of the PET use. One of these use areas has become the personal protection equipment production from polyethyleneterephthalate, which meets or exceeds in its protective features various previously used alternatives.  

Also, during the meeting parties discussed a number of important issues directly connected with the invest project implementation. The list of issues included such things as the transport infrastructure development, the necessity electrical output provision of the production and the necessity related infrastructure construction within frames of the SEZ “Moglino” second production line implementation. Summing up the conversation between all the participants Mikhail Vedernikov instructed the Vice Governor Ninel Salagaeva, the region profile committee and the special economic zone management to work out the issues in a working order.
