Rupec: Processing equipment will be upgraded at AO “Omsky kauchuk”

A batch of contact devices ("trays") is expected to be delivered at the production of high-octane additives and liquefied hydrocarbon gases at AO “Omsky kauchuk” (part of AO GC Titan). The equipment is necessary for better gas separation of isobutane-isobutylene fraction in the process.

30 perforated trays and 3 distribution trays will be supplied by one of the Russian manufacturers. The contact devices are custom-made. This equipment is necessary to improve the contact between the liquid and steam in the production process. This column is part of the chain for the production of methyl tert-butyl ether, which is an important raw material for the production of high-octane fuel.

The installation of the new contact devices is scheduled for the fall overhaul - in September 2022. Thanks to the upgrade, the plant will improve the stability and sustainability of the technological mode.
