Rostov region Government portal: The Don enterprise improve the antiseptics production

In May 2020, Novocherkassk Lubricants Plant LLC focused on the production of an alcohol-based antiseptic gel under its own trademark. In future, the company plans to grasp the production of water-based antimicrobial solutions.

During the period of fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic the antimicrobial agents continue to be in high demand in the Russian Federation.

In accordance with words of the plant employees, the most popular variant among the customers is the water-alcohol solution with the high concentration of the isopropyl alcohol (up to 70%). They are cheap and easy to use.

The plant capacity allows producing up to 500 tons of the solution per month. However, with the approach of the summer season, the Don enterprise concentrated on the production of a more convenient gel for use, the formulation of which has already been introduced into production. Its formulation was developed and tested at the beginning of April 2020.

Content of the isopropyl alcohol in the gel is enough to provide the maximum efficiency and at the same time the addition of the safe polymer thickeners will make it easy to dose and use, also it prolongs its antibacterial effect. The antiseptic consist of vitamin E, Aloe Vera extract and components for the skin softening.

“For now, the household antiseptics production direction is strategic and it will be developing . We connected  our research unit to the new formulations development process”, – told the Deputy General Director for Commercial Issues  of the Novocherkassk Lubricants Plant LLC Natalya Prudnikova.

Researches of the color, smell and pH are underway on the base of the laboratory of the Don. The antiseptic is absolutely complies with the technical specifications.

Specialists from all the production sites of NZSM LLC are connected to the manufacture of the antiseptic production.

New formulations of antiseptics are being developed. It means the research work and production of the concentrate – the future products. The concentrate will be transferred to the Tula (Alexin city) and Nizhny Novgorod divisions of Novocherkassk Lubricants Plant LLC, where the filling lines for filling antiseptic products are located.

As the Deputy Governor and Minister of Industry and Energy of the Rostov Region Igor Sorokin noted, enterprises of Rostov region continue to develop the new production in accordance with the epidemiologic situation.  The Don NZSM enterprise production passed all the necessary tests.  From the moment of launch of the production, about 400 tons of antiseptics were delivered.
