Pskov News Line: “Pskovsky Zavod “Titan-Polymer” LLC supported the construction of “The Victory Banner Inception” Memorial in Idritsa

Supported by “Pskovsky Zavod “Titan-Polymer” LLC (the part of the Group of companies Titan), a project will be implemented to create a memorial sign “The Victory Banner Inception” in the village of Idritsa, Sebezhsky District. The monument will be set up by the side of the federal highway M-9 “Baltia”. This was reported to the Pskov News Line by the plant's press service. 

“Creating such a memorial sign in Pskov region is a letter of acknowledgment to the ancestors and an exemplary for the current generation. It is a special symbol of pride, honour, dignity and unity of the great power peoples who won that terrible war. Certainly, it is extremely important that business should support such initiatives and allocate funds for this purpose,” General Director of “Pskovsky Zavod “Titan-Polymer” LLC, German Petrushko said.

A nationwide fundraising campaign to build a memorial in the village of Idritsa was launched in May supported by the Charity Development Fund “Saint Princess Olga of the Equal Apostles”. The mock-up of the memorial sign was chosen based on the results of the All-Russian creativity competition. The monument will be as tall as a six-storied house.

It should be added that the name of the small village of Idritsa, Sebezhsky district, became a part of the world history on the 1st of May 1945, when the Idritsa Rifle Division's assault flag was planted on the roof of the Reichstag building in Berlin.
